 For over 29 years, Candace T. Botha has served as publisher, editorial director, editor-in-chief and contributing writer for numerous local and regional publications. A summa cum laude of Montclair State University in New Jersey, Botha began her editorial career serving as an associate editor for CO-ED and FORECAST Magazine, two monthly educational magazines published by Scholastic, Inc., in New York City. Her experience also includes serving as co-publisher and editor-in-chief of Montage Magazine, an award-winning regional publication in northwest New Jersey.
During her career, Botha has also served as editorial director of ITCA Today, a newsletter for the International Trade Center Alliance in northwest New Jersey; editorial director of Morris County Golfer and Pathways, two publications of the Morris County Park Commission in Morristown, New Jersey; and editorial director of Sussex County Magazine, a yearly publication of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. She was also co-publisher of Northern Horizons, a bi-weekly "newszine" in Warren County, New Jersey.
Since moving to Florida in July 2005, Botha has worked as a freelance writer for The Herald-Tribune in Sarasota, Tampa Bay Homebuyer, Sarasota Home & Business, and Sarasota Magazine. She has also written Web copy for two area design firms and completed her first screenplay.
